Mauricio Ortiz is a managing member of the Investment Manager and the General Partner and serves as the Chief Technology Officer and Co-Chief Investment Officer of the Investment Manager. Since 2018, Mr. Ortiz has followed the blockchain technology space, recognizing untapped potential within the digital asset industry. He applies an algorithmic approach to design and implement systems that exploit market inefficiencies.  At the firm, Mr. Ortiz leads the development of trading systems and software that form the backbone of the firm's investment strategies. He employs an automated workflow, integrating data collection, data processing, and trade execution to ensure a disciplined investment process.  Prior to founding the Investment Manager, Mr. Ortiz was an engineer on the Critical Infrastructure team at Goldman Sachs & Co, within the Consumer Wealth Management division. In this role, he was instrumental in maintaining the critical infrastructure of Marcus, Goldman Sachs' consumer bank, handling the front-facing systems crucial to the operation of the entire bank. Mr. Ortiz graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley with a B.S. in Computer Science.
